Customer Solutions Specialist
Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $60,000/year- $70,000/year
Location: Portland, CT, 06480
Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Customer Solutions Specialist who will handle customers throughout the entire parts experience with their satisfaction as the number one priority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains the relationship with customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls, correcting order issues, processing customer orders, and resolving customer product or service issues.
- Solicit information from customers through a variety of questions and probing techniques, assessing their needs and requirements.
- Processes sales orders and orders changes and confirms shipment/delivery dates and cancellations.
- Purchases and provides order fulfillment activities in support of business demand to positively impact inventory turns as applicable with inventory buys
- Suggests additional and/or alternative products and services to meet customer needs, following established pricing guidelines.
- Ensure predictable & accurate supplier on-time delivery to meet customer demand
- Communicate field issues to engineering and quality as needed.
- 10% travel required across the USA and Canada for stockroom audits of spare parts.
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will need to be detail-oriented, have a passion for meeting and training clients, understand workflows, be an excellent communicator and work as part of a team
- Candidates will work with some highly demanding clients and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Min 3 years of relevant inside sales or customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
- Individuals must be organized, self-motivated and independent
