The Reserves Network is a full service staffing firm specializing in light industrial, manufacturing, and office placement. Our client in Clearwater, FL is hiring for their manufacturing facility. We have several openings available for Machine Operator and Machinist Positions.

POSITION SUMMARY: Production Employees may be assigned to any department or machine in the plant. Flexibility and cross training are expected as business conditions and needs change. Assigned responsibility could include machine or process operation and inspection. Specific duties may vary between departments and / or processes. The plant currently is a 3-shift operation Monday through Sunday with many departments scheduling mandatory overtime as required.

Primary Duties:
Perform precision machining or processing of parts utilizing lathes, grinding machines, extrusion equipment, or heat treat furnaces
Learn and follow SOP s during the process of manufacturing customer material
Plan machining by studying work orders, engineering plans, material specification and machining parameters
Check stock to determine amount available required for the parts to be manufactured
Set up lathes, grinding machines, extrusion equipment, or heat treat equipment to process wire or bar
Work to the tolerances for dimensional/geometric, surface specs provided on drawings /sketches, work cards, etc.
Recognize, deploy and properly use tooling on the machinery/equipment to produce a quality product to order requirements in an orderly, efficient, and consistent manner
Inspect and evaluate customer product characteristics with various measuring devices such as micrometers and record/report of results
Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on assigned machinery and equipment
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Operate overhead crane and follow movement of material
Work alone and as part of a team
Perform miscellaneous responsibilities as requested by Supervision/Management

Read, write and understand specific instructions
Use basic math for measuring and calculations, including trigonometry and geometry
Possess knowledge of industrial equipment including lathes, centerless grinders and related machine shop equipment
Demonstrate proficiency to manipulate hand/machine tools such as:
o Micrometers
o Miscellaneous precision measurement tools
o Wrenches
o Allen wrenches
o Screw drivers
Achieve forklift and crane certifications
