This company was founded in 1979 as a family owned machine shop, with a mere 5,000 square feet of machining space and a handful of customers to their name. Through their continued commitment to quality and customer service they have expanded their current location multiple times to the current 100,000 square foot facility.
The flex operator position requires you to learn multiple positions in packing, machine operation such as spot weld and quality specifications. The Flex Operator will be assigned a primary area in which to work and depending on production needs, will be re-assigned daily to fill vacancies due to absenteeism, scheduled vacations, and production needs to meet customer requirements.
he key responsibilities for the
Assist operators on a variety of machines; may be required to work at the operator level on multiple pieces of equipment in various areas of the manufacturing plant.
Ability to use measuring equipment such as a caliper, micrometer, comparator or other measuring equipment to test tolerances, dimensions, quality of material, etc as required by customer specifications.
Assemble, sort, and pack shipments by properly adhering to the assembly/pack documentation, in addition, may enter job data and validate parts based off of print and/or quality standards.
Ability to work from drawings (prints) and other specifications.
Complete & maintain all required sorting and quality inspection paperwork.
Check quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials.
Maintains a safe, clean work environment, following department housekeeping standards.
Responsible for adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct.
Other duties as assigned or required by Supervisor.
The skills and qualifications in which you would need for the
Requires 3-6 months of relevant manufacturing experience.
Strong work history and ability perform in a fast moving environment.
Previous experience using inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with an ERP system a plus.
High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
Ability to work overtime when required.
Understanding of ISO/TS Quality requirements.

The pay for the
position is starting at $12/hr and goes up based on experience. The shift is Monday Thursday 5:30am - 3:30pm, Overtime as needed on Fridays and/or Saturdays.
