Milwaukee area company needs a well experienced Maintenance Mechanic.
$17- 21/hr. based on experience
This position is primarily responsible for maintaining proper maintenance of equipment in the plating
department, wastewater treatment system, monitoring and measurement equipment, and material
moving & storage equipment. Will execute schemes and systems for maintaining up-time and increasing
time between failures by performing the following duties:
Core duties include the following.
Confer with operators and observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to
diagnose cause of malfunction
Weld to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment
Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery
Record repairs and maintenance performed
Document, as appropriate, records required by ISO procedures and work instructions.
Consult with supervisor regarding changes in scope of projects assigned and obtain approval
Track and manage inventory of stock MRO items as related to assigned jobs; submit requirements to supervisor for procurement
Repair and/or replace all required plumbing to equipment including PVC, steam, copper sweat,
hydraulic, steel, and stainless steel lines
Service building equipment as required (i.e. HVAC units, pumps, scrubbers, and overhead doors)
Repair and rebuild various pumps including: air diaphragm, reciprocating, drum, and submersible
Perform bench repairs on racks, carriers, pumps, and motors as directed
Perform all duties in a safe manner; following all safety procedures and guidelines
De-energize and perform basic electrical work such as changing fuses, resetting overloads,
connecting or disconnecting 480V motors.
Open and close facility in support of planned hours of operation and facilitate timely activation of production lines
Maintain work areas in clean and orderly manner
Perform general housekeeping required

Education and experience
Education: Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance (or equivalent)
Work Experience: 2 years of experience or; 5 years of similar work experience (i.e. building trades) to become proficient at job duties.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word).
Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 60 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to lift, repetitively, up to 40 lbs. Must not have any have any respiratory restrictions or medical restrictions that would preclude working with other employees at their normal work area.
Ability to safely maneuver over, in, and around active production equipment
Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day.
