GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes production standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
Establishes manufacturing policies in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures. Approves Maintenance work
Recommends strategic changes in manufacturing and operations strategy.
Builds, develops and manages production leadership team capable of carrying out needed operational strategies and employee development and training.
Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships
Provides support to customers pertaining to product quality and performance including complaint resolutions.
Provides leadership through a 6-12 month planning cycle.
Oversee production budget ensuring compliance with organizational requirements
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations
Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries related to production.
Establish and monitor overall performance for production, safety and quality standards.
Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and related expenses
Incorporates 5S shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among production personnel.
Job has recurring work but involves high degrees of discretion. The need for accuracy and effective utilization of resources is high. Errors in judgment will waste resources and adversely impact Association performance. Incumbent operates independently but work is verified. Content of work priorities are determined by supervision.

Experience in roll to roll continuous manufacturing, is preferred (such as laminating process, printing, paper, plastics)
