Job Description

DIRECT HIRE - QUAILTY ENGINEER

Location: Auburn, AL
Salary:  $80,000 to $90,000 a year

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Responsible for batch/lot review and release
  • Evaluate data from production, research, and experiments and put into a presentable format for customers of and for use by Aptar CSP Technologies
  • Write procedures for new processes as well as revising and writing new procedures for existing processes
  • Write test protocols and summary reports for testing products for existing and potential customers
  • Perform testing on products for existing and potential customers
  • Perform research projects to assist in the development of new products
  • Improve/update product and packaging specifications for existing products; ensure adherence to specifications
  • Optimize the quality system for Aptar CSP Technologies in the areas of data retrieval, data storage, raw material handling, and storage
  • Support customers through information sharing, research, and special projects
  • Interface with customers as part of a team for quality, service, and delivery issues; ensures timely, effective, and responsive support to customers
  • Assist/participate in customer audits
  • Lead and coordinate special projects to support and promote quality, productivity and safety at Aptar CSP
  • Ascribes to and supports Aptar Vision, Core Values, and Rules of Leadership

Qualifications/Education/Special Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree with Relevant QE Experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred, capable of achieving BB certification
  • Proficiency in use of statistical, analytical tools
  • Proficiency in use of FMEA’s and Design of Experiments
  • Certified Internal Auditor preferred, capable of achieving Auditor certification
  • Certified Quality Engineer preferred, capable of achieving CQE certification
