Our partner is seeking an Administrative Assistant Project Coordinator, with experience in commercial construction, for permanent placement in their Akron office. The Administrative Assistant Project Coordinator is responsible for corresponding with and providing support to sub-contractors. This position is a great opportunity with a well-established company.
Shift: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. M-F
Pay: $15 - $20/HR Depending on experience
Build rapport and communicate effectively to answer questions and offer solutions.
Assist Project Managers and Superintendents throughout the country.
Work with sub-contractors to ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Receive and route all correspondence, faxes, etc.
Prepare and send appropriate documentation.
Set-up, organize and maintain all project files.
Set-up job trailer and temporary job site utilities.
Maintain filing system.
Electronically distribute all job blueprints/drawings.
File, and track all subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders.
Coordinate transmittals and credit applications.
Process all check requests.
Receive and process all pictures and progress reports, dailies and weekly reports.
Maintain communication with superintendents and assist in daily operations.
Check and process all superintendent expense reports.
Coordinate with superintendent and project manager for completion of punch list items.
Box and send all completed job files to offsite storage facility.
Assist other administrative assistants or project managers as needed.
Minimum educational requirement of High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in commercial construction.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (excluding Power Point).
Ability to stay on task and keep others on task.
Ability to read blueprints not required but highly desired.
Experience with Pro-Core desired but not required.
Must be adaptable.
A background in accounting is preferable.
Minor design abilities preferred.
Experience with Timberline Accounting services is preferred but not required.
