Support the machining requirements of MTHI with the use of typical Machine Shop equipment.

Completes Work Orders, or other requests issued, in support of the machining needs of Operations, Engineering, R&D and any Spare Parts Department requirements.
Will require the machining of both production and prototype parts.
Responsible for acquiring necessary part(s) or material(s), set up of machining equipment, performing machining operations to meet specifications, completion of any documentation and inspection of completed parts to verify they meet specifications.
Machining operations includes operation of a manual Lathe(s), CNC Lathe, manual End Mill, Conversational End Mill, Drill Presses, Grinders, Band Saw, Horizontal Saw, Wet Saw, Shear, and other typical Tool Room equipment.
Promote and enforce safety, in an effort to minimize safety hazards, including:
Practice and enforce safe work habits, required PPE and proper operation of Machine Shop equipment by only approved personnel.
Adherence to and enforcement of 5S policies, processes and initiatives.
Perform preventive maintenance and facilitates repairs on Machine Shop equipment.
May be required to balance pulleys
Responsible for the maintenance of the balancing equipment.
May be responsible for the design and manufacture of mechanical fixtures, jigs and assemblies used both in the Machining Center, R&D and Operations.
Work together with Engineering and R&D to build prototype parts for new designs.
Work with Quality on NCMR incidents including root cause analysis, if requested.
Any other duties to maintain the Production schedule, as well as assisting other work centers and departments to help meet internal and external customer commitments.
At least (4) years of Machining experience in a Machine Shop environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet required deadlines.
Ability to work as part of a team under limited supervision.
