Oversee and manage an effective Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program to protect personnel, equipment, and facilities
Interpret, recommend, and comply with EH&S regulations and/or company policies
Assist in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet current and new environmental and safety requirements
Act as the facility laser safety officer and radiation safety officer
Manage the hazardous materials program including maintaining an accurate inventory, ensuring proper storage, and scheduling/ documenting hazardous waste shipments; organize and equip spill control teams
Write and update EH&S policies, manuals, and procedures; create EH&S metrics that measure status and drive improvements
Oversee accident/injury and near-miss investigation and reporting; collaborate with all related documents and records
Develop and facilitate the EH&S training calendar; facilitate training for all new contractors and employees
Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects
Prepares environmental impact statements; applies for all permits and renewals
Works with senior leadership team on site security

Bachelor s degree with a concentration in one of the following: Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science in engineering or related program (i.e. Biology, Chemistry); Master s degree preferred; Completed coursework in OSHA regulations and compliance
Minimum of five years of professional experience in areas of EH&S management in a manufacturing environment; 8+ years preferred; EH&S auditing experience is a plus
Must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to organize work, build teams, facilitate meetings and presentations, collaborate on solving problems, and make key decisions
Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite is required
