Engineering CNC Programmer/Set-up Person
Work for the Chief Engineer
Knowledgeable in the use of Virtual Gibbs.
Read G and M code.
Program CNC lathes and CNC mills using G and M code and Conversational language.
Setup CNC lathe, CNC mills and adjust a wide variety of machines to produce a diversified line of parts having close dimensional and work quality requirement.
Able to read/work from drawings, prints, setup and operating instructions, material specifications and production orders.
Able to operate CNC lathes and CNC mills
An understanding of geometric tolerances.
Knowledge of inspection tools and gages.
Knowledge of Solid Edge a plus
Make use of in-house resources to maintain, check and upgrade tools, fixtures and gauges.
Keep records and inventories on tools, fixtures, coolants and other items to maintain efficient production.
Train Design Engineers in the use of G and M codes.
Assist Machine shop supervisor in all phases of process improvements of CNC programs.
Assist in instructing and training assigned operators in methods, operating procedures and checking work to include the selection of proper statistical tools to maintain process control and quality reliability.
Able to work alone or on a team to accomplish daily tasks.
Able to stand for eight hours a day
Able to perform physical, manual labor for eight hours a day
Able to communicate effectively to co-workers and supervisory personnel clearly and concisely
Ability to speak and read English
Position is on 1st shift, non-union, direct hire. It is a salaried position between $48,000 and $52,000 per year. Extensive benefits package is available.
