Level I Inspector

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 25lbs, up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs to retrieve parts and documentation
Must be able to stand while working for extended periods of time
Must have vision that is correctable to 20/20 and meet color vision requirements as dictated by customer requirements
Accountability Requirements:
Report directly to Quality Manager
Act in a professional manner and take direction from higher level QC inspectors or management
Direct all questions or discussions with operators and floor supervisors to Quality Manager
Act in a professional manner toward office and production personnel
Accurate and precise reporting of all inspections performed
Keep current with inspection methods and techniques
Keep accurate, neat, and organized records
Keep work space organized
Skill Requirements:
Understand and calculate percentages
Understand and convert fractions to decimals and back
Use a calculator to solve basic formulas (i.e. circumference, area, volume, etc.)
Good verbal communications skills
Detail oriented
Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task as required
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Simple drawing interpretation rings, sheet material, identifying GD&T call-outs, Basic vs. Reference dimensions
2. How to read and extract information from a non-aerospace/government purchase orders
3. Non-complex inspections and tool validations OD, ID, Ht, Wt, using the density calculator
4. Use of M&TE
a. 0-12 calipers
b. Micrometers
c. pin gages
d. height gage
e. Richard s gage
f. Pi-tape
g. Optical Comparator
i. Skew part
ii. Diameter
iii. Radius
iv. Auto/Next Edge
v. Save and recall of information (including x and y coordinates)
vi. Measuring a Profile
vii. Use of Excel sheet that was developed to calculate GD&T (True Position)

5. Use of EGC sampling plan table
6. Use of QII s (quality inspection instructions)
7. Router and IDS maintenance
8. Inspection Shelves and Buzzers
a. Understand the Concept

c. Able to keep up with day s production
