Do you have good mechanical abilities and like to "fix" things? Our Milwaukee client needs an experienced machine maintenance technician. You would be responsible for electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, along with general facility maintenance in accordance with all company and safety requirements.
Perform highly diversified duties to install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems from low voltage to 480v in a manufacturing environment.
Must be familiar with and have experience maintaining air compressors, vacuum pumps, electric motors, belt drives and mechanical couplings. Requires a strong background in performing preventative maintenance.
Diagnosis and troubleshooting for a wide variety of mechanical equipment to include but not limited to pumps, blowers, electrical motors, heaters, gearboxes and rotary screw compressors.
Removal and installation of industrial machinery including wiring, motors, control panels and other necessary utilities.
Perform regular preventive maintenance work on machinery and equipment. Read and interpret drawings, schematics, equipment manuals and work orders to perform required service.
Work in a safe manner and observe all safety procedures including but not limited to the proper use of the man-lift and fork lift, lock out/tag out, HAZMAT, Personal Protective Equipment, Confined Space and electrical safety procedures.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and possess the required skills and experience as well as a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Must be willing to assume responsibility, have excellent verbal communications skills, be able to work well and efficiently on a team or individually, have a positive, helpful attitude at all times, and be able to meet or exceed expectations on a daily basis.
Must have basic computer skills, and be able to work inside and outside in a variety of weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial plant
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems independently.
Ability to independently maintain a clean and organized work area
Knowledge of basic safety procedures
Ability to follow and retain directions as well as manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in the use of hand tools to maintain a variety of equipment
Must be able to speak, read and write English
Must be authorized to work in the US
Experience with CMMS systems and PLC S a plus
The ability to lift 90 pounds
The work environment is a fast paced, manufacturing job-shop. A variety of chemical baths are used on manufacturing floor on a daily basis and proper care and focus must be taken to ensure safety. Communication and teamwork are highly valued within the company as well as the push for continual improvement.

1st shift, Monday - Friday
$18+/hr. based on experience
