Responsibilities include:

         Perform complex assignments in support of the curved railed elevator product development and manufacturing in a team environment.

         Perform CNC set-ups and machine operations.

         Load and edit programs.

         Read blueprints and inspect finished parts.

         Support research and development by preparing test parts for studies by operating CNC mills, free form bending machine, hardness tester, and other equipment as necessary.

         Assist in performing tests to develop bend programming to improve the function of the curved rail elevator rail.

         Assist in the development of the process of measuring rails with quality control software and equipment.

         Assist with hands on training of manufacturing employees on tooling, equipment and process revisions.

         Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.

         Provide support in implementing new equipment and adding upgrades to existing equipment.

         Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements utilizing Training With-in Industry (TWI) work instructions.

         Test parts for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications including rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured parts.

         Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis while encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis of non-conforming manufactured products.

 

Qualifications needed:

         High school or general education degree (GED) required. 

         1 year CNC operation and programming experience required.

         Understanding of CNC programming along with G and M codes

         Basic machining skills including CNC equipment

         Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to comprehend basic physics and trigonometry

         Proficiency of blueprint reading preferred. 

         Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

         Able to complete standardized written documentation and correspondence. 

         Able to professionally communicate in one-on-one and small group situations. 

         Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office.

 

 Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

         Environment is a modern production facility with heat and air conditioning

         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally required to stand; use hands and fingers to manipulate raw materials, finished parts and cutting tools  

         Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repetitively

         Ability to lift 31 to 50 pounds occasionally

         Ability to lift over 50 pounds, with assistance, occasionally

 

Hours:  1st shift,  6 am 2:30 pm, Monday Friday

Pay:  $18 22/hr. based on experience
