Are you looking to make a change in your current career? How about working for a company that has been in the metal manufacturing industry for over 30 years! Currently there are locations in US, Europe, and India. We are seeking a director of operations for our Waukesha, WI location.

The Director of Operations and Engineering is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the plant relative to the following departments: operations, production control, engineering and technical while assisting the president with overall operations.



         Manage and develop supervisory staff

         Work with Human Resources in developing training programs for salaried personnel

         Key participant in the company s safety program and will be responsible for monitoring compliance, developing training and promoting initiatives among direct reports

         Sustain continuous process improvement.

         Establish a 5S philosophy within the organization

         Develop plans to reduce employee turnover and optimize talent

         Coordinate various engineering personnel to optimize systems design, provide technical expertise within the engineering team and project execution teams.

         Position will support Marketing and Sales to optimize and design cast products. This is accomplished through the ability to develop and implement manufacturing processes, troubleshoot foundry defects and introduce product enhancements.

         Be knowledgeable in QMS and responsible for the Company s ISO program

         Manage the costs of the department


         Bachelor s degree in an engineering disciple (Metallurgical, Mechanical) is required. Advanced degree is desired.

         Minimum of 15 years of technical management experience.

         Computer literate with strong emphasis in process engineering, production planning and preventative maintenance.

         Organized and has very effective time management skills.

         Demonstrated leader among employees.

         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

         Must possess strong supervisory/managing skills.

         Exhibit the ability to organize and prioritize the tasks at hand

         $70,000-$80,000 based on experience
