GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

         To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of Toppan USA, Inc.

         While performing any procedure, all associates must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required.

         Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.

      Adhere to appropriate Toppan USA operating procedures, benefit rules, employment, and safety policies/practices.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

1. PROCUREMENTS

1) Enter purchase orders required by other departments

2) Control delivery date of the order for receiving by the required delivery date

3) Contacts carriers or appropriate person to arrange transportation of materials purchased

4) Verify quality and quantity of receiving materials by checking CoA, Packing slip and physical inspection

5) Collect packing slip or delivery note to verify receiving of ordered materials

6) Responsible for oversight of A/P and invoicing process for assigned materials

 

2. INVENTORY CONTROL

1) Maintain an adequate inventory of all plant supplies by taking daily and monthly inventories and ordering supplies based on the upcoming orders/usage patterns.

2) Physical inventory monthly to verify quantity and quality of products and received materials from vendors

Note: The first day of each month is scheduled for physical inventory checks, and overtime might be required in case the first day is on the weekend.

 

3. Shipping Assistance

1) Verify accuracy of picking tickets and distribute it for shipping

2) Making Shipping documents (Packing list etc.)

3) Updating shipping control chart for recording detail of shipment and cost

4) Responsible for oversight of A/P and invoicing process for freight

 

4. OTHERS

1) Special projects as assigned by Purchasing Agent.

2) Propose improvements for making work procedures more efficient.

JOB SCOPE

 

         Job has recurring work situations involving moderate degrees of discretion.  The need for accuracy and effective utilization of accepted programs and procedures is high.  Errors in judgment and execution will waste time and resources adversely impacting unit performance.  Incumbent operates independently but work is verified by supervision.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum: High School graduate or GED. Preferred: Associate s degree in business/economics or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an ERP, MRP or similar type of purchasing in manufacturing production environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good communication abilities, both verbal and written, are essential
  • Able to get along well with others in a team environment
  • Strong PC capabilities with accuracy and speed; good math skills
  • Analytical skills and flexibility in dealing with a changing environment is required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Able to get along well with others in a team environment

 

Equipment and Applications  

  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
