Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from magazines, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers by phone.
Presents/reviews machine quotation with customer utilizing videos and PowerPoint presentations highlighting machine features and benefits.
Hosts customers visiting Osgood during pre-sales meetings, machine build update meetings and F.A.T.s.
Supports the company s strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Prepares forecasting activities and monitors individual performance goals accordingly.
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs.
Reviews machinery layouts and works with engineering to affect more efficient space utilization in the customer s facility.
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules and final approval from the Chief of Sales.
Prepares reports of business transactions and expense accounts.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
Stays current with industry trends and developments to seize new market opportunities.
Investigates and resolves customer concerns.
Attends trade shows as assigned and assist with booth set-up and/or tear-down.
Other duties as assigned.
