Residential Construction Superintendent
Who will be primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient production of homes, upholding building quality standards, and maintaining the company safety program and OSHA standards. In addition, the duties include a variety of new home construction tasks including the following:
Create and update weekly construction schedules
Perform quality inspections during all stages of construction, manage the quality of building of all homes assigned
Conduct homeowner meetings to include Pre-construction, Pre-drywall, Orientation and Final Walk
Maintain overall site/community condition
Verify home is ready for release to the closing department and provide accurate dates for Quality Control Inspection and Orientation
Uphold OSHA standards, provide OSHA and safety training for assistant superintendents
Participate in weekly construction training with assistant superintendents, support training and development of assistant superintendent
Manage field plan support with Area Manager
Five years or more of previous residential construction experience required. Florida residential construction strongly preferred.
Thorough knowledge of one or more of the building trades (i.e. electrical, carpentry, plumbing etc ) combined with a strong knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints
Must have understanding of the technical aspects of construction
Excellent organizational skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
