Service Technician Position - Direct Hire Opportunity
Duties shall include coordinating and installing refrigeration equipment, refrigeration service and kitchen equipment service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assemble structural and functional components of walk-ins, Ice machines and refrigeration systems, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Lift and align components into position, using equipment lifts.
Drill holes and install mounting brackets and hangers into ceiling and walls of building.
Cut, bend, assemble and connect and braze refrigerant line sets.
Test lines, components, and connections.
Mount compressor, condenser, and other components in specified locations on frames, using hand tools and welding/brazing equipment.
Install wiring to connect components to power source.
Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant to specification.
Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instrumentation.
Diagnose problems and make repairs to system failures as well as other commercial kitchen equipment repair.
Weekly travel to work on project sites throughout the year based on a varying schedule. Most travel is two - four days a week. Home on weekends.
Working with 3rd party installation crews on multiple projects when necessary.
Provide installation support to Boelter warehouse (equipment) and other projects within Boelter.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read blue prints / shop drawings.
Self-motivated, flexible and professional attitude.
Experience and / or schooling in construction related industry.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project schedules on time.
Works well in team environment and accept responsibility.
Previous experience of refrigeration products in the food service industry or construction related experience is a plus.
Stainless steel fabrication and welding experience.
Must be familiar with safety procedures and jobsite etiquette.
Must be able to operate simple electronic systems (tablet, cell phone).
Additional Information:
Customer specific training for install will be provided.
Tools and equipment necessary for installation will be provided.
High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 1-3 years related experience.
Ability to read, write and speak English is a requirement of this position.
Must have EPA required Licensing.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; scoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; use foot/feet to operate machines. Must be able to lift and/or move 50lbs consistently.
