Responsibilities Include:

                    Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials meet or exceed the customer requirements and  ISO policies and procedures.

                    Identify appropriate materials for the job, including the ability to check the type, size, quantity, quality and maintain traceability

                    Understand, train and monitor all employees on Quality Policy & Requirements and ISO procedures

                    Assist with ISO internal audits

                    Utilize all inspection equipment

                    Communicate with customers, suppliers and co-workers.  Prepare, review, enforce and/or follow up with all CARs, SCARs, Customer Complaints etc., completing all paperwork, requests, etc. in a timely manner.

                    Organize and maintain all Quality Assurance documentation and files

                    Inspect all incoming material ensuring all materials accepted meet the inspection criteria

                    Interpret ASTM and AISI standards and judge compliance to the standards (including flatness and squareness)

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the Job:

 

1.         Schedules all inbound and outbound shipments.

2.         Maintains control of yard ensuring adequate equipment is on site, including empty and full

            container control, spotting, switching, etc.  Makes yard and dock location assignments.

3.         Reviews inbound paperwork for completeness and confirms availability of ASN s.  Notifies

            appropriate staff of problems, unexpected or improperly documented receipts.

4.         Creates and maintains orderly files and receipt records of all  inbound product.

5.         OPENS containers in the Warehouse Management System.

6.         Prepares over/short/damage reports and forwards to Corporate Traffic.

7.         Confirms closing of outbound loads.  Issues and controls numerical sequence of  seals/padlocks.

8.         Prepares all shipping related documentation, including Bills of Lading, Manifests and ASN s, as required and files of such.

9.         Assures adequate supplies are on hand to perform daily activities.

10.        Physically receive and document receipt all non-product expense items.

11.        May move expense items on dock with hand truck.

12.        Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

13.        The ability to work in a constant state of alertness

            Experience:                  1+ years of shipping experience preferred.   Distribution background is a plus

 

            Education:                   HS Diploma required

1.         Reconcile cycle count results, resolves all DC mismatches and is responsible for research into root causes to prevent future occurrences.

2.         Performs all inventory related data file maintenance.

3.         Ensures all inventory reports are current and in-balance.

4.         Maintains WMS stock locator map.

5.         Processes all inventory adjustments other than on-the-fly adjustments.

6.         Publishes reports and statistics on inventory accuracy performance against standard.

7.         The ability to work in a constant state of alertness

 

Resourcefulness/Creativity:      Using WMS tools, assists space utilization optimization between pallet and case storage areas by initiating consolidation reports, system parameter changes and current status updates.

 

Environment:                            Will spend most of time working with PC to maintain accurate inventory records in an automated environment. 

 

Qualifications & Experience:    3-5 Years of experience with inventory related systems, reports and procedures in an automated environment.

 

Education:                               HS diploma       

 

Skills:                                      Strong knowledge of  MS Office (Word, Excel).  Strong math skills, effective verbal and written communication skills.
