Electronic Assemblers

We are seeking an Electronic Assemblers for a 75+ year old company who has become a Regional industry leader in distributing a wide range of electronic components and solutions.  Become part of a growing company.
Summary: Completes kitting, assembly and packaging processes according to established operating procedures by performing the following duties.
Duties for the Assembler include:

          Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards

          Read, understand and interpret more complex ruler measurements.

          Advanced soldering and crimping skills.

          Ability to identify and pick out various sizes of wire for production.

          Knowledge of crimping machine and changing of dies in bench top crimper.

          Knowledge of kitting-bagging to prepare product for shipment.

          Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment.

          Assemble or modify electronic equipment, position, align and adjust work pieces and electronic parts to facilitate wiring assembly.

          Additional responsibilities, such as packaging and/or spot checking others work.

          Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, ability to read component piece during and/or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.

          Knowledge of IPC Training Modules

          Cross train to other areas of department as needed.

Qualifications:

          High School diploma or GED OR 1-2 years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

          Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and
memos.

          Ability to speak and understand English.

          Ability to write simple correspondence.

          Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

          Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

          Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

          Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but
uninvolved written or oral instructions.

          Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Shift/Pay/Benefits:

         1st shift 6:30 am 3 pm

         2nd shift 3 pm 11 pm

         Pay - $13/hr.
