The City of Houston’s Health and Human Services department is partnering with ExecuTeam Staffing to seek a Bilingual Community Relations Specialist to join their team! For this position, you coordinate appointments with families to discuss the relocation process; schedule reservations with hotel management and moving companies, plan and implement special support programs and activities, and advise the community regarding the W.A.T.E.R. fund. Bilingual Community Relations Specialist’s Responsibilities
  • Coordinate appointments with families to discuss the relocation process
  • Schedule reservations for families with hotel management and appointments with moving companies
  • Furnish information to community residents, providing referrals to other agencies
  • Assist community clients by filling out forms, writing letters, and explaining various program rules and applications
  • Advise community regarding the W.A.T.E.R. fund; aids in the application process and monitor funds
  • Act as a liaison with other community social agencies and industry-related programs and assess community needs
  • Serve as a community resource person to plan and implement special support programs and activities
 
Bilingual Community Relations Specialist’s Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
  • A minimum of 6 months of work experience is required
  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and time management skills are highly preferred
  • A Valid Texas Driver’s License is required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
