Play a critical role in supporting production goals and maintaining high company standards when you become a Chip Technician with one the leading designers and manufacturers of fiber optic networking products. Our client primarily serves three growing end-markets: cable television broadband, fiber-to-the-home, and internet data centers.
As a Chip Technician, you will be responsible to conduct compound semiconductor wafer processing and optoelectronic device fabrication to support new semiconductor product development in a dynamic R&D and small volume production environment.

Your New Role:
As a Chip Technician, you will work with wafer processing engineers to fabricate InP and GaAs based semiconductor lasers in a clean room environment. You will handle all of aspects of a semiconductor laser fabrication process, including photolithography, dry and wet etch, chemical or plasma cleaning, dielectric film deposition and metal contacts. You will use inspection tools such as microscopes and profilometers as well as conduct computer file organization for storing images and documenting processing records.
What You Need:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have previous semiconductor R&D experience
- Previous experience in using microscopes, hand tools, computers, and tweezers
- Experience handling small devices in an assembly manufacturing clean room environment
- Associate degree in engineering or related discipline
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
