Purchasing Coordinator

 

The Reserves Network is currently hiring a Purchasing Coordinator for a busy auto parts distributor in Seminole County.  The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the coordinating all aspects of custom orders between the customer, vendor and all internal departments, and assists the Purchasing Manager with administrative support duties.

 

Purchasing Coordinator responsibilities

         Receives and processes all custom product work orders (new and reorders) from Inside Sales and Outside Distributors.

         Maintains quality control systems to ensure accurate data entry, artwork, gross profit, and production requirements are met through all stages of the order process.

         Assists the Sales Team in facilitating the close of the sale by providing excellent internal/external customer service.

         Maintains a working knowledge of all catalog items including production times, production limitations & processes, vendor art templates, vendor print and material colors.

         Generates purchase orders and sends all artwork to the production vendor.

         Serves as vendor contact for all questions or problems including A/P invoice discrepancies.

         Maintains communication with vendors on open purchase orders to ensure timely completion of jobs.

         Updates SAP database with approval, order date, ship date and other significant customer/ vendor contacts.

         Researches/negotiates vendor costs on high quantity or non-catalog items.

         Provides weekly updates to sales reps on all open custom Sales Quotations.

         Runs queries and reports to ensure all Sale Quotes, Sales Orders and Purchase Orders are processed in a timely manner.

 

Purchasing Coordinator requirements

         H.S. Diploma or GED

         2 Years of Purchasing experience in a high volume environment

         2 years of administration experience

         Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

         Ability to pass order proofing and mathematics testing
