Customer Service Representative
A leading manufacturer of paint and tinting product, located in Ashtabula, Ohio but part of a global industry is seeking a Customer Service Representative. Their products make our world brighter and more beautiful and they are looking for someone with excellent customer service experience to perform order entry and fulfill their customer service requirements. This job is a temp to hire opportunity for the right candidate(s) and this company offers an outstanding benefit package to their employees.

Receives work orders from both internal and external customers, build and maintain a friendly, cordial relationship.
Enter orders into the ERP system and sends detailed and accurate order confirmation back to customer in a timely manner
Transfers pertinent information to customer files to ensure proper recordkeeping
Regularly receives customer order/service inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, weight/dimension, freight cots, payment terms, packaging and overall order status and provides timely follow-up
Edits orders for accuracy and makes appropriate changes
Refers customer inquiries to the responsible sales or technical person as required
Receives, researches and solves (with guidance) customer service issues/complaints
Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks on a routine basis including file maintenance, telephone coverage, telemarketing and internal mail distribution
Complies with all safety rules and regulations, attends regular safety meetings and trainings, inspects work area for hazards and initiates corrective actions. Reports injury/illness or environmental incidents
Performs required duties as assigned, dealing with exporting of product internationally working with third parties to schedule ocean or air export and ensure required documentation is correct and timely, verifying export compliance with manager. Review order requirements to ensure completion, and communicate the status of all orders with both internal and external parties
Minimum 3 years of experience in Customer Service
Knowledge of ERP-oriented accounting systems preferred, SAP a plus.
High School Diploma or GED
Accurate typing and data entry skills and excellent time management skills
Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading and effective follow-up skills
Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
Able to handle highly confidential information.
Must be detail oriented.
Able to adhere to tight deadlines.
