Director of Accounting

As the Director of Accounting you will report to the Controller and perform highly technical work across many accounting based disciplines enabling the organization to press forward on new agenda items. We will be requiring a CPA with complex Audit experience as this role has a significant depth of audit in its sweet spot. This role is ideal for someone at the manager level ready to leave public audit and significantly cut back on hours in the process.

DO YOU ALIGN WITH THESE KEY QUALIFICATIONS?

• Active CPA License

• Experience in a large public accounting firm as an Audit Manager or Senior

• Strong preference for someone with compliance audit experience, perhaps governmental as well

WHAT WILL YOUR SUCCESS LOOK LIKE? 

You will streamline processes and procedures while executing on highly complex and technical accounting work, enabling the Controller to execute the strategic plan of the organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?    

• Lead the closing of financial records on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

• Liaise with external auditors 

• Lead a team of 8 financial accountants
