Director Of Facilities and Construction [Direct Hire]
$150,000 - $175,000 | Holmes Road
Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm
 
We are seeking a Director of Facilities and Construction to manage building infrastructures and facilities for a leading distributor of carbon and stainless pipe, fittings and flanges located near Holmes Road. You are responsible to ensure all safety precautions are adhered to, scheduling facility work orders, scheduling preventative maintenance on major systems, such as plumbing, and electrical requests and responding quickly to service requests. Experience with facilities maintenance, budget management, and safety compliance is crucial. You must have the leadership qualities to provide ongoing routine maintenance, facility improvements/repairs and overall appearance of the outside of the facility.

 Responsibilities and Job Duties:
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work 
  • Maintain working relationships with co-workers, property management and clients 
  • Complete and schedule daily work orders   
  • Use vacuum cleaners, to clean rugs, carpets and dust blinds  
  • Power wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows and doors 
  • Provide equipment maintenance to ensure equipment is in working order   
  • Maintain shop, equipment rooms and storage areas in a neat, organized and secure condition 
  • Install, maintain, repair and provide carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, flooring mechanics, and other minor building/community repairs 
  • Ensure all property maintains exceptional curb appeal by keeping the grounds and buildings clean 
  • Assist in lawn and landscape maintenance and amenities 
  • Transport supplies and materials to job sites
  • Routinely inspects building and property and reports finding to the immediate supervisor 
 Qualifications and Experience Needed:
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required 
  • One year of experience in building maintenance or construction 
  • Electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance knowledge
  • Professional appearance and demeanor 
  • Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools 
  • Must be able to operate motorized equipment 
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License 
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends based on project requirements 
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen 
  • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds 
  • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases
  • Able to work in all weather extremes
  • Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching, and bending at the waist. Indoor/ outdoor work environment with exposure to weather extremes
