Located in Brandon, FL
Night shift 7 pm – 7 am Monday – Sunday (Rotating)
12 hours on shift, after business hours, routinely on weekends and holidays. Special circumstances may require additional hours

Your New Role as a Donation Coordinator:

Perform a detailed evaluation to determine the medical suitability of all referrals
Interact with all referring institutions and maintain appropriate documentation
Route medically suitable referrals to bring about a successful Authorization or Donor Disclosure
Communicate hospital developments, Medical Examiner/Coroner and/or funeral home concerns or feedback to the appropriate divisional department
Assist with verifying the accuracy of referral outcomes and data points within activity reports
Assist Communication Services with answering incoming referral calls when not evaluating cases for medical suitability

Donation Coordinator's Skills and Experience:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in medical billing, coding, paramedic/EMT, or LPN, is required
Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills are required; must be comfortable communicating with grieving family members
Experience coordinating with Endowment for Giving, transplant patients, organ donation, tissue donation, transplant community, Living donors and Recipients, Research and Programmatic Grants, Donor Families, and Tissue Banks a huge plus
Bi-lingual English / Spanish helpful
MS Word, Excel, Outlook (Expert level)
Strong customer service skills
