Responsibilities of the Electrical Assembler:
Perform wiring and assembly operations on a diversified line of controls required for large welding machines and integrated systems involving the connection of intricate apparatus and fairly complex circuits.
Plan and layout assembly and wiring of electrical panels, plus the fabrication, assembly, plumbing and placement of valves for air and water lines.
Must read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, specifications and layouts to determine materials requirements and assembly operations.
Electrical skills should include the ability to work with high voltage - 440+, single & 3 phase
Will do meter testing - PLC's, panel views, switches, piping, etc.
Assemble & fit parts, sub-assemblies and mechanisms together
Setup and operate a variety of machines to include horizontal & vertical mills, lathes, grinders, mig welders, presses, etc. both manual and CNC equipment
Responsible for designing, fabricating and welding of brackets for control cabinets, light curtains, guarding, switches, etc.
Will be standing and performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms & legs. Will be climbing, lifting, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
Critical thinking and the use of logic to identify problems, alternative solutions, conclusions and approach to problems
Operate forklift and overhead cranes
Requirements of the Electrical Assembler:
Very good near vision for seeing details at close range and excellent manual dexterity
Physical Flexibility and coordination is an integral part of this job
Able to work alone but most often works as part of a team environment.
Large job shop environment where duties can vary from day to day and will require flexibility, initiative and the ability to prioritize
Interface with customers' personnel while performing installations, repair or rebuilding of machines at the customers location.
Minimum of HS Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED PLUS 3-5 years related experience
Knowledge of product design and electrical welding and control principles
Must have mechanical aptitude, should understand basic electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles, and wiring practices
Able to read and understand documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Comfortable using a computer
Excellent communication skills both oral and written (will be interacting with customers)
Shop math to include geometric algebraic and trigonometric calculations. MUST perform metric conversions.
Able to travel - Average is 20% but can be up to 40% of the time based on the customer need
1st shift, Monday Friday; 7 am 3:30 pm
Pay based on experience: up to $22/hr.
