Contract manufacturing company specializing in precision metal stamping, fabrication and machining seeks a Fabrication Supervisor.
Duties of the Fabrication Supervisor:
Train employees, as necessary, regarding general industry quality standards and specific customer quality standards.
Train, coach and develop new and existing employees in assigned department.
Conduct performance reviews and maintain all necessary documentation on all direct reports.
Communicate directly with customers regarding their product expectations.
Coordinate and communicate with vendors for all subcontracted services.
Review and finalize original project plans by collaborating with design, purchasing, quality and sales.
Update project plans on a regular basis for customers.
Ensure an organized, clean and safe working environment in all manufacturing areas.
Must track hours and costs of customer jobs to ensure completion within budget.
Assist in doing quotes on an as needed basis.
Work hands-on in the department as work demands require.
Ensure efficient operations through flexible scheduling in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
Receive customer files and program them into the Laser machine
Requirements of the Fabrication Supervisor:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years welding, certified welder preferred
Above average math skills, including trigonometry.
Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T and CAD drawing helpful.
Ability to work pro-actively in a fast pace environment.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of organization and prioritization skills.
Ability to multi-task various pieces of equipment.
Computer skills; word, manufacturing software experience preferred
Must be able to move between department and satellite buildings.
Must be able to lift 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Occasional standing, bending, twisting and repetitive motion
Must use PPE, welding equipment and safety toed shoes, and wear company provided uniforms.
Hours, Pay, Benefits:
1st shift, Monday Friday 6 am 2 pm; as a manager hours may be extended beyond 2 pm
