Finance Manager – Manufacturing Excellence

Our client is seeking a driven finance professional to lead financial and accounting activities within their facility in Ashtabula, Ohio. This pivotal role ensures adherence to regulatory standards while contributing to the success of a major player in the manufacturing industry.
Key Role Highlights:
  • Champion adherence to Safety Health and Environment policies, 
  • Manage manufacturing accounting processes, including journal preparation, account analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Provide accurate monthly manufacturing cost forecasts and balance sheet projections.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual operating budget for the site.
  • Identify actionable opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs against budget and forecasts to drive insights.
  • Implement robust accounting processes, internal controls, and legal compliance.
  • Lead analysis and reporting on strategic initiatives.
  • Support cost optimization and improvement programs.
  • Provide financial analysis for manufacturing improvements and capital projects.
  • Establish "Best Practices" for financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction, fostering alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee personnel management, including performance, compensation, and succession planning.
  • Employ high-level judgment to address complex tasks and issues affecting the function.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.A. or B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields (Advanced degree a plus).
  • Professional membership in CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of Finance & Manufacturing Operations experience, with a preference for chemical industry exposure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across organizational levels.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
