Job Description
Garment Inspector Embellishment Trimmer (2 shift times available)
$15/hr. [First Shift] 6 am to 2:30 pm
$17/hr. [2nd shift] 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Monday – Friday | Greenspoint
Long-Term Assignment – no end date
Resource Staffing is assisting a client who is located near Greenspoint to find a Garment Inspector Embellishment Trimmer for a long-term assignment with no end date. Do you have an eye for details? Do you enjoy using your hands for repetitive motion? The Garment Inspector Embellishment Trimmer prepares garments in the final stage of embroidery by trimming loose threads, removing garment tags, and preparing them for shipment. inspection before the merchandise is shipped to the customer and has been packed for shipping. This process helps to detect any defects and reduces the risk of complaints from customers. Enjoy working in a pleasant temperature-controlled room.
Accountabilities and Job Activities:
- Trim garment backing left on garments and remove loose threads and lint left by the embroidery machine
- Inspect Apparel’s quality limits (AQL) specifications including embroidery colorfastness properties, texture, and durability properties
- Perform visual inspection (e.g., assessing cutting, assembling parts, sewing)
- Inspect pre-shipment Sample Reports Including post-production levels, to check the quality of a garment
- Oversee garment quality control procedures for loose threads
- Fold and organize finished garments by rechecking the completed embroidered items
- Pack items into proper bins and prepare garments for shipment
- Communicate issues with the supervisor
- Transport completed orders to Shipping Department as per the ticket for the final phase
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Fine handle eye coordination and attention to detail
- Knowledge of fabrics and their characteristics is preferred, but not required
- Meets and exceeds established production of logos per hour
- Team player and an excellent communicator
- Capable of lifting 20lbs without assistance
