Our client has an immediate need for an HR Generalist in Wilmington, OH; this is a direct-hire opportunity. Hours are 8 am - 5 pm, M-F; salary is 50-70k a year based upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements and occasionally leads, functions related to the Company's Human Resources programs and projects, including employee relations, recruiting/retention, policies/procedures, compensation, performance management, safety and benefits/wellness.
  • Provides human resources-related customer service to employees, management, vendors and external contacts via telephone, written correspondence and face-to-face communication; interactions can include employee concerns, data requests, verifications of employment, unemployment hearings, or issue resolution.
  • Enforces company polices/procedures and ensures compliance with Federal and state regulations; addresses confidential employee relations issues, including corrective action and terminations.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
  • Administers compensation programs, including survey participation, data analysis, and program maintenance; administers benefits programs including addressing employee inquiries, coordinating annual open enrollment, serving as liaison between online administrator and employees.
  • Participates in internal and/or external recruiting, including candidate screening, interviewing, reference checks, hiring and onboarding.
  • Coordinates payroll processes with Accounting using payroll software; verifies employee records for weekly payroll, maintains garnishments and other deduction requests (child support, uniforms, etc.), validates taxes, conducts year-end W-2 verification. Coordinates employee new-hire, change and termination processes, including I-9 administration, tax processing, benefits enrollment/deactivation, 401k account activation/termination.
  • Generates, analyzes and distributes data reports to Human Resources, Company management and external contacts on a daily/weekly/annual/ad-hoc basis.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and/or cost savings initiatives in department, and performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree required.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in HR at a manufacturing facility required.
  • Experience working in Human Resources Information Systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
