Heath Plan Specialist’s Responsibilities
- Offer inbound callers membership options regarding retention on all health insurance lines and provide answers to inbound caller’s questions promptly.
- Document the caller’s health care information into the system, view and manage eligibility and enrollment, identify client needs, verify policy information, and explain the benefits of each coverage plan.
- Convert general interest to a lead to a sale of health insurance plans.
- Identify growth opportunities and assure market penetration and profitability while achieving target goals.
- Participate in telephonic and email marketing campaigns for various database systems, including CHIPS and STAR software programs.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of health insurance products and services and the ability to make specific requirements to match customers’ needs.
Customer Service Representative’s Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Valid Texas Life and Health Insurance License is required, no exceptions.
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years of call center, customer service, or sales experience is highly recommended.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is not required but is highly recommended.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Data entry or typing at 35+ WPM is required
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
- A Valid Texas Driver’s License is required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Company Culture & Perks
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
