Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm | Salary: $19 - $22 an hour

Healthcare Underwriter’s Responsibilities
- Make outbound phone calls to applicants to verify information
- Review applications and eligibility criteria
- Initiate follow-up communication with applicants
- Maintain confidential information (HIPAA)
- Work alongside other healthcare underwriting agents as it pertains to the underwriting processes
- Utilize your underwriting abilities to analyze applications and detect risk factors
Healthcare Underwriter’s Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 1 year of health underwriting experience is preferred
- MUST be proficient in medical terminology
- Insurance industry or healthcare experience is a plus
- Experience working as a Medical Scribe, Pharmacy Technician, EMT, Pre-med student, or any other health/medical-related position is eligible
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
