Industrial Engineer - McDonough, GA 
Our client is an international logistics services provider that operates in 50 countries.  Their service supports the fresh food supply chain.  They pride themselves on being sustainable and environmentally friendly. 
 
The Industrial Engineer, North America primary purpose is to provide process improvements, set work standards, evaluate operational costs, validate capital expenditures, document operational procedures, determine most economical process flows and perform project management functions.
 
Responsibilities 
  1. Establish operational methods and work standards using various work measurement techniques
  2. Identify, evaluate, and recommend changes or improvements in the operation process, procedures, and equipment and provide analysis to support these changes
  3. Perform cost studies, economic comparisons, and justification analysis
  4. Optimize use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment
  5. Support operations teams to improve efficiencies and resolve issues
  6. Play a key role in the implementation of new processes, equipment, and products
  7. Initiate, plan, execute, and control strategic projects to accomplish strategic goals 
  8. Maintain site drawings used for site design improvements and operation flow mapping
 
Experience
  1. Experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
  2. Strong lean manufacturing experience 
  3. Substantial experience in automated productions
  4. Substantial experience in supplier management/equipment design and compliance to specification
 
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing
  2. 2-5 years of practical experience working in automated manufacturing environments
  3. Working knowledge of CAD software or comparable software dealing with layouts and process flow mapping
