DO YOU ALIGN WITH THESE KEY QUALIFICATIONS?
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
- Database manipulation software and/or software application development experience (ex. SQL, .NET, Python, etc.)
- 5+ years related work experience
- Management or leadership experience; Minimum of (3) years of experience in a supervisory/manager role
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Azure Data Factory, ADO, and SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Data Warehouses, Data Marts, etc.
- 5+ years of experience working in a data engineering or similar programing and dataset design
- 3+ years of experience with both Python and SQL Programming
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Software, database or project management certification or designation
- Insurance coverages and rating schemes and insurance product knowledge
- Experience with Cloud-based technologies ex. Azure (DevOps, Data Studio, etc.)
- Artificial intelligence/machine learning
- Data orchestration (Data Factory | AWS Data Pipeline)
- Familiarity with data lake architecture and concepts, including scalable storage and compute, Apache Spark, and delta table concepts
WHAT WILL SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
In this IS Manager role you will manage, direct, and make daily decisions on various data and software systems developed and used by the primary group operations. You will be responsible for the supervision, growth and development of various levels of employees within the Data Warehouse department including developers, BA/QA team members, and front-line managers.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Oversee the research, development, infrastructure, testing, delivery and maintenance of the data processes and software systems.
- Hold regular meetings dedicated to the co-creation and maintenance of goals along with helping employees achieve their full potential.
- Manage, direct and make daily decisions on data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Serve as primary data liaison working with areas internal and external to the Company to develop business reports.
- Direct staff in the design, programming, maintenance, and implementation of various Company software technologies.
- Lead and mentor others in the programming and maintenance of company software products.
- Analyze and identify inefficiencies or problems within data processes and software applications, solve problems, and determine need for changes to enhance performance or capabilities of the systems.
- Oversee testing efforts for data processes and software applications and connectivity between systems.
