Job Description

Inside Sales Assistant
$46,000 annually
Cheshire, CT
Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
 
We have a great opportunity for an Inside Sales Assistant in our client’s Cheshire, CT location.  This position has become available due to the expansion of their sales department to meet growing demand.  
 
The Inside sales assistant will work within the sales department, reporting directly to the Sales Manager. Responsibilities include supporting the sales team with administrative tasks, managing customer inquiries, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records of sales activities.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Create and process Sales Orders and Work Orders
  • Handle invoicing of shipped orders and product returns
  • Assess product costing and maintain cost/sales  price spreadsheets
  • Works closely with the Materials group for data collection
  • Complete necessary reporting, and paperwork, and follow safety procedures
Requirements:
  • 5 years’ experience in Inside Sales in a manufacturing setting 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PC applications
  • Must be accurate, energetic, and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to follow instructions, procedures, and policies
