Job Description
Euclid area machine shop seeks Inspector
Inspector Duties:
- Inspects machined workpieces at inspection or machining station
- Read blueprints or engineering specifications
- Tests surface finish of workpiece by using surface profile measuring instruments
- Measures dimensions such as length, height and distance between reference points using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator or snap gauge
- Locates reference point on part and measures dimensions such as angle, arc or radii using combination or surface plates, parallel bars, angle plates, gauge blocks, V-blocks, sine bars, optical comparator, or other precision measuring instruments.
- Test hardness of products using Rockwell Hardness testers
Requirements include:
- Three years minimum experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and define and solve problems
- Knowledge of Outside Micrometers, Dept Mics, Calipers, 6” or 12” scale screw drivers, wrenches, pliers and Optical Comparator, dial indicator or snap gage
Benefits:
