Machine Operator
A Euclid area machine shop seeks a Machine Inspector for a busy manufacturer of precision-turned and cold-formed products in addition to a complete range of standard and semi-standard hex socket screw products. If you enjoy making sure measurements are precise and can use instruments/tools to inspect production quality, apply today.
What You Will Do:
- Inspect machined workpieces at the inspection or machining station
- Read blueprints or engineering specifications
- Test the surface finish of the workpiece by using surface profile measuring instruments
- Measure dimensions such as length, height and distance between reference points using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators or snap gauge
- Locate reference points on part and measure dimensions such as angle, arc or radii using combination or surface plates, parallel bars, angle plates, gauge blocks, V-blocks, sine bars, optical comparator, or other precision measuring instruments.
- Test the hardness of products using Rockwell Hardness testers
What You Will Need:
- Three years minimum experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and define and solve problems
- Knowledge of Outside Micrometers, Dept Mics, Calipers, 6” or 12” scale screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers and Optical Comparator, dial indicator or snap gage
