Willoughby area manufacturer seeking Machine Operator
1st shift is 7:30AM to 4PM Monday through
Primary Function of Position
Operate production equipment daily. Follow direction of Team Lead for the goal of filling customer orders, or maintaining set production levels. General Machine Operators are trained to operate all production equipment and fill a variety of positions as daily demands change.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate production machines (forming, branding & wrap band machines), and related equipment daily.
Keep work area clean and orderly; participate in regular cleaning of equipment and workspaces.
Correctly and accurately complete necessary forms, logs, and paperwork relate to completing orders
Communicate with Team Lead regarding operation of equipment, asking questions when necessary and report all malfunctions and irregularities.
Maintain production of parts as directed by Team Lead.
Rotate through production doing all duties including shipping.
Focus on quality, details & accuracy in the fast paced, same day shipping environment.
Maintain a safe working environment
Ability to function as a member of a team and conduct self positively and professionally with all employees.
Strong work ethics, and attendance
Able to correctly use measuring devices such as standard measures, and dial caliper.
Ability to function within published lifting/physical requirements.
Strong hand-eye coordination
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of inventory processes
Valid driver s license
Ability to learn & retain information
Strong focus on safety & safe operating procedures
