Manteno, Illinois Industrial Bakery is seeking full time temp to hire Maintenance Mechanics.
Standard first shift

$18-$25/hr DOE

Effectively maintains and repairs physical structure of facility and production equipment including various chemical systems and PLC controls. Effective preventive maintenance and ensures continuous production flow.

Make necessary repairs to production equipment through adjustment, repair or replacement of mechanical and/or electrical components in a timely manner to ensure continuous process. Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance. If necessary, interpret and read drawings, specifications, and manuals for assistance in repairs.
Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services as assigned. Perform PMs to standard and take proper steps to correct deficiencies. Maintain PM records on assigned PM areas; make recommendations to improve operational status of equipment.
Inspects motors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, bearings, and other related components. Lubricates and greases bearing, shafts, chains and equipment.
Fabricate parts using various tools, machines and equipment.
Cut or join metal parts by operating a welding or cutting torch.
Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and/or replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service or replace electronic devices and systems.
Analyze wiring diagrams, specifications covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installation, and electrical inspection work to be performed.
Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of electrical equipment. Starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
Installation and troubleshoot PLC s. Working with computer PLC program to troubleshoot and change logic.
Trouble shoots and repair refrigeration, ammonia, and nitrogen and CO2 refrigeration system.
Follow food safety guidelines when working on equipment in the production processing area ensuring that all pieces and parts are accounted for and that the area has been cleaned and any debris removed after repairs are made.
Adherence of plant policies, procedures, GMP s, food safety and safety requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.

A minimum of 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician or related field. Vocational school or junior technical college training in electronics.
Must be able to trouble shoot equipment by listening for unusual sounds and visually observing machines and equipment to detect malfunctions and inconsistencies of operation.
Good verbal communication skills in order to convey pertinent information to supervisor, crew leader, and team members.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, schematics, blue prints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to operate a lathe, milling machine, grinder, welder, pipe fitting
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and fractions.
Experience with safety requirements including lockout/tag out, confined space, HAZMAT, HAZWooper
Forklift certified

Physical demands include but is not limited to, standing, walking, use of both hands to handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with both hands, occasional climbing, bending, and stooping.
Lifting and occasional moving of equipment up to 100 pounds.

Welder, grinders and other maintenance equipment.
Posses own tools metric and standard
Forklift, pallet jack

Trained in various OSHA required disciplines including but not limited to lock out/tag out, confined space, HAZWOOPER, HAZMAT
Various plant surfaces, including outside areas
Works around moving conveyors and plant equipment
PPE non-slip steel toed e-rated safety shoes, hearing protection, lanyard, freezer suit, safety glasses/shield

Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Manager

Must have High School Diploma, GED
Previous work in assembly preferred
