Job Description

Are you dependable, hardworking, and love to fix things? If so, then this is the job for you! An apartment complex in the Omaha area is looking for a maintenance technician. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the sites.

Duties of the maintenance technician include:

Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds according to established procedures.
Regularly communicate with supervisor as to status of service requests, make ready units, etc.
Complete vacant units to make ready status per established procedures.
Inspect all work performed by outside contractors.
Inspect and/or perform exterior maintenance ensuring high level curb appeal.
Continually monitor budgeted maintenance expenses.
Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed.
Regularly inspect laundry facilities, fitness center, common area rest rooms, etc. to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
Participate in resident functions as requested by Management.
Maintenance team members may be required to be on call

What you bring to the maintenance technician role:

Power Tools: Grinder, sander, drill, saws, etc.
General maintenance experience
Knowledge of appliance repair, light carpentry, plumbing and electrical knowledge

What to expect as a maintenance technician:

Hours: 8:00am-5:00p Monday-Friday
Pay: $19 - $22 per hour based on experience
