Overview of Manufacturing Tech:
Perform complex assignments in support of the product development and manufacturing in a team environment. Perform CNC set-ups and machine operations; load and edit programs; read blueprints and inspect finished parts.
Duties/Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Tech:
Support research and development by preparing test parts for studies by operating CNC mills, free form bending machine, hardness tester, and other equipment as necessary.
Assist in performing tests to develop bend programming to improve the function of the curved rail elevator rail.
Assist in the development of the process of measuring rails with quality control software and equipment.
Assist with hands on training of manufacturing employees on tooling, equipment and process revisions.
Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
Provide support in implementing new equipment and adding upgrades to existing equipment.
Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements utilizing Training With-in Industry (TWI) work instructions.
Test parts for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications including rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured parts.
Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis while encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis of non-conforming manufactured products.
Qualifications for the Manufacturing Tech:
High school or general education degree (GED) required.
1 year CNC operation and programming experience required.
Understanding of CNC programming along with G and M codes, basic machining skills including CNC equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to comprehend basic physics and trigonometry, and proficiency of blueprint reading preferred.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Complete standardized written documentation and correspondence.
Professionally communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office.
Environment is a modern production facility with heat and air conditioning.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to lift over 50 pounds, with assistance, occasionally

Up to $25/hr based on experience
