Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

Employer of choice in the Troy area seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Company offers a flexible schedule allowing you to choose what start time works best for you. Seeking a hands-on engineer ready to roll up their sleeves.

What you do:

Perform the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems
Perform product development activities including CAD layout and interpretation and implementation requirements
Partner with manufacturing and suppliers to develop components for prototype devices or systems, meeting cost targets for the project
Provide existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production to ensure quality

What you need:

5 -7 years of engineering related experience with a proven track record of moving projects from concept to production
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Ability to use engineering risk assessment tools
Strong Solidworks skills including familiarity with FEA and other analysis tools
