Mechanical Technician Apprentice

As a Mechanical Technician Apprentice, you must perform heavy manual labor and semi-skilled work in industrial maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.

What you will do:

As an apprentice, you will be carrying out maintenance on all sewage lift stations, water booster stations, water tanks, Water Plant, Wastewater Plant and CSO's to include cleaning, repairing and maintenance.
Assist Maintenance Technicians in performing preventive, predictive, regular, and unscheduled maintenance, and repair on all mechanical equipment at facilities.
Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Dismantle, clean, lubricate, repair / replaces shafts, bearing, gears, impellers, bar screens and other parts of pumps, motors, chemical feed systems and other equipment.
Work outside in all weather conditions. (Required)

What you need:

A minimum of one year of experience in industrial plant maintenance or related field required.
Must have experience assembling, installing, and/or maintaining piping systems.
Technical School training courses in mechanical trades and specialized training in relation to water & wastewater treatment equipment maintenance (preferred.)
Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Must lift and move objects of 50lbs or more.
Proof of High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
