Team1Medical is seeking a Medical Collection Specialist in Northwest Houston. The Medical Collection Specialist will focus on contacting individuals with unresolved bills and contacting those patients to collect payments. Medical Collection Specialist’s Responsibilities
- Actively communicate with patients with past due balances.
- Respond to insurance company correspondence, including requests for information and claim review.
- Work with insurance providers to resolve outstanding claims and appeal denied or unpaid claims.
- Process and post patient payments daily to ensure account balances correctly reflect the current balance due.
Medical Collection Specialist’s Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Three (3) years of insurance collections/billing reimbursement experience in a hospital setting is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Essential knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes and procedures, technical job knowledge, and third-party payer requirements and reimbursement rules are required.

- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The location of the building is immediately off Highway 290.
