Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 am to 5 pm | Salary: $17 to $20 an hour

The ideal candidate will have experience in call center work, with knowledge of medical terminology and previous experience working in either health or life insurance underwriting. Medical Insurance Eligibility Specialist’s Responsibilities:
- Place outbound calls to customers who have applied for insurance to verify their health history information
- Utilize your knowledge of common medical conditions and medication in consulting with customers applying for our products.
- Review, qualify, and document all incoming applications for the program into the system.
- Collaborate with agents regarding applications as it pertains to the underwriting process.
Medical Insurance Eligibility Specialist’s Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of 1-2 years of call center experience with medical terminology knowledge is required
- Previous medical underwriting, health, or life insurance experience is a plus but not required
- Bilingual Spanish & English skills are a strong plus
- Strong interpersonal & office skills to effectively communicate with all internal and external customers
