Job Description
Milling/Turning Machinist
State of-the-art metal fabrication shop facility in the Apopka area is hiring for Milling/Turning Machinists, with experience in fabrication. As the Milling/Turning Machinist, you will set up and operates Milling and Turning machinery to produce precision components while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual who is energetic, driven and seek excellence through their work.
What a typical day will look like:
- Operate equipment to standard work practices within all quality and performance standards
- Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Follow production work orders and documents
- Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
What you need:
- 3+ years’ experience preferred
- HAAS and/or Mazak Lathe experience a plus
- Ability to detect tool wear and make offset changes
- Familiarity with a variety of metals and plastics, and working on parts with very close tolerances
- Experience performing set-ups
What is in It for You:
- Pay: $18 - $25 per hour
- 1st shift - Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
- 2nd shift - Monday - Thursday, 4:15pm-2:45am, Fridays 2:15pm-10:45pm
