Full-Cycle Payroll Specialist [Hybrid]

$25 - $30/hr. | Northwest Houston

Monday - Friday

Contract to Hire

We are seeking a detailed and experienced Payroll Specialist to process full-cycle payroll for a large homebuilder with over 1000 employees. This position requires the specialist to have experience with full-cycle payroll, wage garnishments, child support, and W-2s. This position may result in OT if payroll is not completed.

What You Will Do:

Process and distribute payroll including manual checks, direct deposits (ACH) and voided checks
Review and process unemployment claims and W-2s
Process online direct deposits & address changes, PTO/ requests, and balances
Create Cognos Business Intelligence reports for the team
Run and distribute payroll reports and electronic/manual payroll information
Process and submit garnishments and child support payment

What You Will Need:

High School or GED
Must have 5 + years of full-cycle payroll experience with companies of 1000 or more employees
Experience with UltiPro, Cognos, and JD Edwards is a plus
Prior experience with Cognos software
Highly proficient in Excel; proficient in MS Office
Five (5) ) or more years of payroll processing o941 and 940 forms, State Income Tax and Unemployment Tax
