Job Description
Our client located in Crete, IL is a specialty steel plate distributor and processor, with a comprehensive inventory of carbon & alloy plates, as well as a unique mix of processing capabilities. They are in search of a Press Break Operator to join their team.
What Matters Most:
- 1st shift – 6 am-2:30 pm
- $18-$21 an hour depending on experience
- Located in Crete, IL
- Experience with jib cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts is needed
- Medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as a 401K plan
Your New Role:
Press brake operators produce parts from steel plates using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends on the material. You will run bend and form operations, use a CNC controller to set up machines, program press brake, clean machines and calibrate and clean the machinery. To be successful, you will need to be able to interpret and read blueprints.
What You Need:
- Must have experience with using jib cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Preferred knowledge of CNC operation and Manufacturing software
- Previous press brake operator experience is necessary
